Alta Badia is a valley in Dolomites inhabited by hospitable Ladin. This is a small nation using their own language.

This place is famous for its great sunshine all year round and beautiful landscape with characteristic peaks of Dolomites’ crags. You can observe how their colours change with the time of day.

The valley is located beneath massif Sella in the heart of the Dolomites. There are great connections with other ski resorts including: Corvary, Colfosco, San Cassiano, Pedraces and La Villa. From these places you can easily ski to Arabba, Val Gardena, Val di Fassa and Alpe di Siusi. Alta Badia also offers some of the most beautiful ski tours in the Dolomites:

• To the highest mountain in the Dolomites – Marmolade (3343 meters above the sea level, the ski lift goes up to 3250m),
• The Great War Ski Tour (Della Grande Guerra),
• Sella Ronda - this is a full day trip around Sella massif.

This region has direct connections with around 500km of long slopes in total. You can also catch a skibus from Cortina d’Ampezzo and Kronplatz to Alta Badia.

Just in Alta Baldia alone, there are 130 km of very well prepared ski routes and well organised ski lifts with great throughput (76,700 people per hour). The benefit of this is that you do not have to wait long to get to the slopes.
