Plan de Corones (Kronplatz) – A domed summit (2275m above sea level) with slopes descending to the valleys in all directions, leading to one, spectacular ski route. There are very fast and modern ski lifts suitable for large numbers. This is an added benefit as visitors do not have to wait long to reach the slopes. All ski routes are designed to be very safe with wide scopes and varied difficulties for all levels of skiers. They are very good for both beginners and people with advanced skills who like wide carving schussing. Additionally, there are four very well prepared black routes; the length of the longest one is 6.5km. Avid snowboarders and freestyle snowboarders can use their skills in Snowpark Kronplatz - the biggest and the most modern Snowpark in South Tyrol. There is also a beautiful designated area for children. Here, they can enjoy ski routes especially designed for them, including “Family Fun Line” and “CroniExpress”. Plan de Corones has excellent working ski buses connected to a nearby region - Alta Badia, (journey takes around 20min) where there are some more very well prepared ski routes available around Sella Ronda. If you are not too tired after skiing all day, you can join the biggest Apres-Ski-Party in South Tyrol, conveniently located just next to the ski lift. A popular after party destination; there is always an amazing atmosphere here. For dinner or shopping it is worth going to Brunico (Bruneck), a small town with beautiful original medieval features.
